TIL the hard way: never trust a reman caliper without bench bleeding it first in Phoenix heat

I swapped a reman caliper on a 2015 Silverado last week, skipped the bench bleed because I was rushing a $350 job, and spent 3 hours chasing a soft pedal that was just trapped air, so now I always spend the extra 10 minutes before install, has anyone else had reman units come with air from the factory?
