Vent: that seized caliper bolt cost me a full Saturday in Raleigh

I was doing a brake job on my 2014 F-150 and the lower caliper bolt just would not budge, even after PB Blaster and a breaker bar. Turned out the previous shop had cross-threaded it so bad that the threads were welded together, and I ended up having to drill it out and helicoil the bracket. Has anyone else dealt with bolts that seem fine but are secretly corroded in a spot you can't see, and what's your go-to trick to avoid losing a whole day?

Sounds like that bolt was welded on by the last guy who touched it.
