Watched a guy at the AutoZone in Reno try to fix a no-start with a hammer in the parking lot
He was parked in the first row and just whacking the starter with a framing hammer he pulled out of his trunk. A guy named Dwayne came out from behind the counter and said 'if that works you still need a starter,' and the car fired up on the third whack. I keep a test light in my box now instead of guessing, because that whole thing was a 20 minute show when a $12 tool would have told him the truth in 30 seconds. What's the worst parking lot diagnosis you've seen somebody try?
