Watched a master tech do a diag at a shop in Dallas and completely changed how I approach electrical gremlins
He spent 15 minutes just looking at the wiring diagram and tracing the circuit before touching a single tool. Has anyone else found that slowing down and reading the schematic first actually saves time in the long run?

My '89 F150 had a parasitic drain that drove me nuts for weeks. Finally I sat down with the EVTM for 20 minutes, traced the interior light circuit, and found the ground path was actually going through a courtesy light switch that was bad. Fixed in 10 minutes after that.

Didn't @nora_wells58 basically say the same thing? I read somewhere that most electrical issues are just bad grounds or corroded connectors anyway, so slowing down and looking at the map first makes total sense.
