Door to door vs terminal pick up, tried both on a 900 mile move

Honestly, I shipped my Jeep from Austin to Denver last month and did door to door on the way there, terminal to terminal on the way back. Door to door cost me $1,150 but the driver showed up 6 hours late and I had to block out my whole day. Terminal was only $780 but the lot was 20 miles outside Denver and I spent $60 on an Uber to get there, plus I had to wait 45 minutes just to check in. What surprised me was that the terminal car came back with fewer rock chips than the door to door one did, guess the open trailer routing was different. Ngl, I'm leaning terminal next time despite the hassle, but my buddy swears door to door is worth it for the peace of mind. Anyone else find terminal pick up less risky than they expected?
