Cheap caliper grease vs the $8 tube, night and day difference

I did rear brakes on my 2011 F-150 last Saturday and used the cheap stuff from the parts store. Within a week the pins were sticking again and dragging. Re-did it with that silicone brake grease from Napa and it slides like butter now. Anyone else notice the cheap stuff just melts away or was it me?

Honestly, sounds like a pain in the ass but maybe you just got a bad batch of the cheap stuff. Brake parts are fussy sometimes, could be anything from the pin being slightly scored to the boot not sealing right. The $8 tube being "night and day" feels like a stretch, but whatever works for you.
