Lost $60 on a junkyard MAF sensor, just buy new and save the headache

Figured I'd pull a MAF sensor off a 2012 Accord at Pull-A-Part in Columbus for $60 instead of dropping $150 on a new one. Got it installed last Saturday and the car ran worse than before, rough idle and check engine light popped after 20 miles. Cleaned it with the CRC spray and still no luck. Ended up ordering a new one off RockAuto for $120 and it fixed everything. Lesson learned, those junkyard electronics are a gamble for sure. Has anyone else had luck with used sensors or is it just me getting burned?
