Rebuilt a carburetor by feel last Tuesday, that old muscle memory beat the manual
The '87 F-150 wouldn't start after sitting for 6 months, so I tore the Holley down without a single diagram, and it fired up on the second crank, guess that's what 20 years of garage work does but I still had to watch a YouTube video for the float height setting, anyone else find their hands remember stuff their brain forgot?

Funny how that works, right? Your hands just take over and do the job while your brain is still trying to remember the torque specs. It's like the body learns things on its own schedule, and muscle memory always outlasts the stuff you read once and forget. Noticed the same thing with old phone numbers or even the way I tie knots for camping gear. Seems like the skills we actually live and breathe stick around way longer than anything we just look up once.
