Spent $120 on a 'professional' brake bleeding kit and it was total junk

I needed to flush my brakes last weekend on my 2002 F150 and figured I'd spring for one of those fancy pressure bleeders instead of using the old two person method. Cost me $120 at the parts store for a name brand kit that promised no mess and easy one person operation. Hooked it all up per the instructions and air bubbles kept getting into the line no matter what I did. Ended up wasting two hours and a whole bottle of brake fluid trying to get it to work before throwing it in the trash. Went back to the old piece of tubing and a jar method with my neighbor helping for free and had the job done in 20 minutes. Has anyone else had luck with those pressure bleeders or are they just a scam?

yeah that kit sounds like the Motive or the OEM brand one. thing is if you don't have the right adapter for your master cylinder reservoir it just won't seal right. those universal cones never work well. had the same fight with mine until I figured out I needed the specific cap for my truck. still not worth $120 though, that's way too much for something you'll use once every couple years.
