Threw $80 at a 'professional' brake bleed kit that couldn't even get air out of a caliper
Spent 3 hours fighting with the stupid thing on my 02 Civic, ended up just using a buddy's handheld vacuum pump from Harbor Freight for $15 and it worked on the first try, anyone else fall for those overpriced bleed kits?

Man that is exactly what happened to me. I bought one of those fancy Motive power bleeders for like a hundred bucks and the thing leaked all over my driveway. The seal wouldn't hold pressure for more than 30 seconds. My neighbor came over with a $12 hand pump from Autozone and we had the whole system bled in twenty minutes. It's crazy how those big brand kits are just overengineered junk that barely works.
