Appreciation post: I still use the old Collins Pro Line 21 manuals for certain troubleshooting
Everyone at my hangar in Mobile switched to the newer digital manuals, but I keep finding errors in the wiring diagrams on the new system. The old paper binders for the Pro Line 21, specifically the 2008 revision, have the correct pinouts for the comm box that the digital version keeps getting wrong. Has anyone else run into this, or am I just getting unlucky with my terminal assignments?

Look, I get the nostalgia for paper, but clinging to those old binders is just slowing everyone down. The digital system gets updates pushed to every tablet at the field, while your 2008 binder is missing every service bulletin from the last fifteen years. Burns.phoenix found one error, but that's a fixable database issue, not a reason to ditch the whole digital system. Searching a PDF is ten times faster than flipping through a thousand pages, and you can't carry a hangar's worth of paper manuals in your pocket. The future is here, even if it has a few bugs to work out.

That's not just bad luck, it's a known issue with the digital conversion. The 2008 binder had those last-minute field service bulletins pasted right into the schematics. When they scanned it, the system just ignored the addendum pages. Found the same thing with the autopilot coupler wiring on a King Air last month. The digital manual showed the old pre-mod configuration, nearly sent me down a rabbit hole for a fault that wasn't even there. Gotta trust the paper sometimes.
