DAE weigh repair time against swapping a whole LRU when the fault won't repeat?
Had a fuel quantity indicator acting up on a King Air last month and I had to pick between chasing an intermittent solder joint on the bench or just swapping the unit and sending the old one in for exchange. I swapped it, logged the discrepancy, and the plane was back out in 40 minutes instead of eating a whole shift. Curious how many of you draw that line at board level versus just pulling the box.
