Got stuck on a stubborn connector for a solid hour at the hangar today

I was fighting with a standard pin extractor on a D-sub, then grabbed a cheap plastic one from a kit I got at the airshow in Oshkosh. Honestly, the plastic one slid right in and popped the pin out clean on the first try. Anyone have a go-to tool for those tiny pins that never seems to let you down?

Man, sometimes the cheap junk just works! (I've had that happen with Harbor Freight picks, of all things.)

Come on, that plastic junk is a ticking time bomb. You just got lucky it didn't snap off in the connector.

Oh man, I saw a buddy try that once with a knockoff adapter. @lee.cole would've cringed hard - the thing literally melted inside his port and he had to chip it out with a toothpick lol. Guess he didn't get so lucky.
