Heads up on those new fiber optic testers from AeroTech

I was sure the 30% faster reading claim was just marketing, but after checking a suspect harness in a G650 last week, it caught a micro-fracture our old unit missed. Anyone else tried them on a tough fault yet?

Sounds like you got lucky with a single case. Our shop ran the new tester against our standard unit on a dozen known-bad lines and the results were identical every time. Maybe save the hype until we see more data.

Guess my one lucky break doesn't stack up against a dozen solid tests, lol. My bad for getting excited over what was probably a total fluke. You're right, we definitely need way more data before calling it a win. Back to the drawing board for me.
