Hit 500 wire terminations in one shift last week and my hands still hurt
I work at a regional MRO in Nashville and last Thursday we had a rush job on a CRJ700. I ended up doing 500 D-sub pin terminations in a single 12 hour shift. That's about one every 90 seconds with stripping, crimping, and testing. My fingers were raw the next day but I swear my speed improved by 20 percent after hour six. Has anyone else ever counted their terminations per shift? I'm curious what the average is for bigger shops.

Started tracking my counts after a buddy bet me I couldn't hit 200 BNC connectors in a shift. Ended up doing 312 that day but my thumb was numb for two days after. I swear the speed increase after hour six is real though, your brain just goes on autopilot and your hands figure out the rhythm. I'd be curious how that compares to the guys doing fiber terminations, heard they can barely crack 100 a shift with the cleaning and polishing.
