Hot take: that old timer who said to check the bonding straps was right all along
I spent 3 hours chasing a ghost issue on a King Air in Bakersfield last month, swapping out a whole comm unit for nothing. Turns out a corroded bonding strap was causing the interference he warned me about 6 months ago. Has anyone else had an old school trick save their butt when the manual said something different?

Oh man, that reminds me of the time my dad spent a whole weekend rebuilding his old truck's carburetor because it was dying on hills. He cursed that thing six ways from Sunday, bought new jets and gaskets, the whole nine. Then his neighbor, this crusty old farmer, walked over and just tapped the fuel line with a wrench. It had a little clog that shook loose. Dad was so mad he could have spit nails, but now he taps every fuel line before touching a wrench. Have you ever had something that simple fix a problem you made way too complicated?

A little CorrosionX on the bonding straps every annual saves you those headaches later.
