I finally stopped using those expensive test leads everyone swears by

Honestly, I overheard this old tech at a hangar in Phoenix last month saying how you gotta drop $200 on those shielded leads or your readings are trash. Ngl, I've been using the same $30 set from a surplus shop for three years on bench work and they've never let me down once. I get it if you're troubleshooting RF stuff in the field, but for general continuity and power checks? Overkill. Has anyone else found a solid budget alternative that holds up?

I read some guy on a forum say his $15 Amazon leads work just fine after years of abuse.

A cheap set of Pomona clips from a surplus shop worked fine for me for years on bench work.
