Spent 3 hours chasing a bad ground on a King radio yesterday

Turned out it was a corroded terminal block hiding behind a panel in the tail section. Anybody else waste a whole shift just to find a simple ground fault on older avionics?

Always those hidden terminals in the tail... they get forgotten until they turn your hair gray.

I get what you're saying about those terminals being easy to overlook, but I actually think they're pretty reliable once you learn where they hide. Most of the time a quick visual check before you start is all it takes to avoid the surprise later. They're really not that bad once you know what to look for.
