Stopped by the old hangar at the regional airport in Billings and saw they'd swapped out all the old CRT test sets for a single tablet-based unit.
It got me thinking about how much less we have to lug around now, but I kinda miss the hum and warmth of those old boxes, anyone else feel that way sometimes?

That hum was like a built-in diagnostic tool. You could tell if a power supply was about to go just by the pitch of the whine. Does the new tablet setup give you any kind of feedback like that, or is it all just silent green checkmarks now?
