Swapped my crimp tool after a mentor called me out

This old timer I work with at the hangar in Tulsa, Bob, told me my cheap crimper was messing up D-sub pins. I blew him off for like 6 months, figured it was fine. Finally borrowed his Daniels tool and tried it on a harness last Tuesday. Now I'm kicking myself for all those intermittent connections I chased over the years. Anyone else have a tool upgrade that made a huge difference in your work?

Oh man, same. My cheap pliers cost me hours of rework.

Honestly @kellymurphy, I've been there too. A good pair of Knipex or even the Irwin ones usually save me from that headache. Ngl, spending a bit more upfront is worth it when you're not redoing stuff.
