That $200 crimper tool I swore was a gimmick actually works

Bought a cheapo DMC crimper off eBay for my 747 wiring job. Thought my old ratcheting one was fine for 10 years. First terminal pull test hit 45 pounds instead of the usual 25. Anyone else have a tool they laughed at that turned out to be a lifesaver?

Man I had the exact same thing happen with my wire strippers. Bought those Knipex ones everyone raves about and thought they were just overpriced hype. First time using them on some 18 gauge and it felt like cutting butter compared to my old ones. Still kick myself for waiting so long.

Toss the old ones in a drawer as backups, you'll thank yourself later.
