Vent: Took me 6 hours to find a bad ground on a Garmin G5000

Chased a ghost intermittent power loss on a King Air for an entire shift, swapping boxes and re-pinning connectors, only to find a single corroded ring terminal under a screw that looked fine. Has anyone else had a simple ground wire eat up a whole day like that?

Man, that's brutal but I feel your pain so hard lol. Its always the dumbest thing that eats up the most time, like a corroded ring terminal that looked perfectly fine on the surface. Had a similar thing happen on a Citation where we swapped two servos and an entire wiring harness before finding a bad solder joint inside a connector that was hidden by some shrink wrap. Ground issues are the absolute worst because they come and go and make you feel like you're losing your mind. Hope you got a cold beer after that shift.

The real kicker with those intermittent ground issues is how they always happen right when a flight school or line check is breathing down your neck too. Like the plane knows. Your mileage may vary but I swear they wait for the worst possible moment to act up.
