Watched a guy in Tulsa track a gremlin through a cannon plug with a heat gun, changed how I do every squawk now
Was at the Tulsa hangar last month helping on a King Air that kept dropping a #2 nav flag only when the cabin heat was on. Everyone was ready to pull the LRU but this older guy grabbed a heat gun and hit each cannon plug behind the panel one at a time. Third plug he hit, flag dropped instantly, pin was backing out just enough to break contact when things warmed up. Now I warm up every intermittent before I start swapping boxes. Anyone else got a trick for chasing heat related gremlins?
