Bought a $40 bear canister that a squirrel stole
Used it on the Lost Coast Trail, thought my food was safe. Woke up to a squirrel rolling it down a hill like a tiny soccer ball. Anyone have a good way to tie these things down?

Those things are made to keep bears out, not squirrels in. A simple carabiner clipped to a strap works for me.

Ever try to outsmart a squirrel? I swear they have engineering degrees, because my fancy clips last a week before they figure it out. Wade_young86 might be onto something with the simple carabiner move.
