How much did that reroute actually change your elevation gain? Washouts in the Ozarks have a funny way of dumping you onto a ridge that climbs harder than the one you planned, since the detour usually follows the path of least work for whoever cut it. Worth checking your watch, because you might have gotten a tougher day than the 3,200 you signed up for.
