Can we talk about the guy at the Reno gas station who called my notebook doodle "better than the stuff in museums"
I was sketching a very bad dragon with three legs and one wing at 1am at a truck stop off I-80, and the cashier leaned over and said that to me with a totally straight face. He then showed me a napkin drawing of his own cat that honestly was way better than mine and he kept it in his wallet like a treasure. So now I keep every ugly 2am doodle in a shoebox, because apparently some people take this stuff way more seriously than the actual artists do. Does anyone else have a random stranger who hyped up their worst drawing into something weirdly important?
