DAE keep a 3am sketchbook and just learned the diner waitress in Omaha has been judging mine for 2 months
So there's this 24 hour diner off 72nd here in Omaha and I go there after work sometimes when I can't sleep. I always bring my little sketchbook and doodle terrible stuff, like a frog with 11 toes, stuff like that. Well last week the waitress finally says something. She goes "hon, I've been watching you draw for 2 months and you always hide the page when I walk up." I didn't even know she noticed. Turns out she used to draw too and she asked if she could see the bad ones. She laughed for a solid minute at my drawing of a hot dog with a face. Now she checks them every visit. Has anyone else had a stranger catch them making junk art and turn it into a thing? I honestly almost stopped going there and now I'm glad I didn't. Do you all have a one specific spot where people know about your bad art or do you keep it secret?
