Drew a portrait of my cat at 2am and it looks like a potato with fur

I was up late in my kitchen in Portland using a dried out Sharpie on a napkin. The eyes ended up way too big and one ear is missing entirely because I ran out of napkin space. My roommate found it in the trash and framed it as a joke, now it's hanging in our hallway. Has anyone else accidentally made something so bad it became decoration?

I read somewhere that stuff made in that late night state is actually more creative because your brain is too tired to filter itself. That napkin portrait sounds like it has more character than half the polished stuff on Instagram. The fact that your roommate dug it out and framed it says something too. Bad art that someone loves is basically the purest form of art there is. What does the cat think when it walks past its own potato face every day?
