My cat drawing got roasted and now I fill the whole page first
Had this habit of starting every drawing with the face, tiny, in the center of the paper. Posted one here and someone said my cat looked like a lost flea on a white bedsheet. They pointed out I needed to block in the whole body and background before any detail work. Started sketching rough shapes across the full page last week, takes 10 extra minutes but nothing floats in space anymore. Even my half-asleep 2am doodles look like actual scenes now. Anyone else build from the edges in or is that just my weird fix?
