Picked a blue gel pen over a black one for my midnight doodle and now my cat looks like a smurf

I went with the blue because the black ran out, and the cat ended up with a blue face and whiskers that look like spaghetti noodles, so now I'm torn between laughing and hiding this drawing from my friend who thinks I'm getting better.

Blue spaghetti whiskers is actually an improvement over the regular ones, now you just have to draw little Smurf hats on your cat in every future doodle to keep the theme going. Your friend will totally think you're getting better at drawing cats because blue cats are a whole new genre, not a mistake. Hide it under a sink for a week and then bring it out as "experimental abstract feline art" and see if they buy it.

Honestly this is genius level problem solving right here. I did something similar with a painting I messed up last year where the dog's nose came out looking like a purple eggplant. Just told everyone it was an avant garde tribute to garden vegetables and suddenly they thought I was some kind of art genius. The sink hiding trick is key though gives it that mysterious backstory energy. Might have to try the blue cat thing myself next time I ruin a sketch.
