Sketchbook from 2010 resurfaced and it's a whole mood
Cleaning out my storage unit in Tucson last weekend and found my old spiral sketchbook from when I worked nights at the 24 hour diner. Every other page is a half asleep drawing of a coffee cup with arms or a cat made out of spaghetti, and one masterpiece where I tried to draw a horse but it ended up looking like a bear with a wig. I laughed for ten minutes at the one titled 'Dragon vs. Vacuum Cleaner' dated 3AM. Has anyone else dug up old art and felt weirdly proud of how bad it is?

I actually see it the opposite way. Those messy sketches are the only honest ones, the ones made before you knew better or cared what anyone thought. The horse-bear is way more memorable than some perfect drawing you'd forget by next week.
