TIL that $19 five pack of sketch markers bled straight through my notebook and onto the kitchen table
Two sides here and I want people to pick one. Side A says cheap art supplies are fine for bad midnight doodles, you are going to toss the page anyway, so why pay more. Side B says a marker that soaks through paper and stains your table costs you way more than the $19 you saved, and I am firmly on Side B after last Thursday. I grabbed a five pack of those fat sketch markers at the craft store near the Allen Street lot, got home around 12:40am, and started drawing a dumb little frog guy in a top hat. By the third marker the ink had gone through my sketchbook, through a magazine I had under it, and left a purple ring on my mom's table that I have been scrubbing for three days. So my real damage is $19 plus whatever a refinish costs, and the frog looked like a potato with eyes anyway. Curious what the cheap-supply crowd says now, or if anyone has a fix for a marker stain on a wood table before I admit defeat.
