Used to draw with just a Bic pen on napkins, now I use a tablet and stylus... when did that shift happen for you?

Used to think digital art was kind of cheating myself, honestly. Felt like the real skill was in pencil and paper, all the mistakes and smudges being part of the process. Then I tried a cheap tablet at a friend's place and realized how much easier it was to just undo a line and keep experimenting. Now I'm mostly digital myself, though I still keep a sketchbook for those quiet moments. No going back for me, the tablet just lets me focus on the idea instead of the eraser shavings.

Just get a screen protector that feels like paper, it makes a huge difference for line control. I slapped one on my iPad and it stopped the pen from sliding around like crazy.
