I laughed at my uncle's hand drawn map to his favorite fishing spot, but that scribbled mess led me to a 4lb bass.
I always used a GPS app that showed every trail and depth line, so his paper map looked like a kid's doodle. He kept saying the fancy app misses the old creek bed that runs under the main lake, and I finally went with him last weekend to prove him wrong. That stupid map had a little X near a fallen oak, and we pulled three bass out of there in an hour while two guys with sonar got nothing. The app showed that whole area as flat mud. So now I'm wondering, what's the worst map you almost threw away that ended up being right?
