That map of Europe with Italy shifted 200 miles east still makes me laugh

My buddy Mark sent me a map last week from some clickbait site that showed Italy floating near Albania. He swore it was some ancient Roman territory dispute map. I told him he was an idiot and it was just a bad cut and paste job. Turns out he was right about it being from a history blog, but the map still had Rome sitting in the middle of the Adriatic. Has anyone else seen those garbage maps that just move whole countries around for no reason?

...and honestly I don't get why people get so worked up about these maps. It's a badly edited image on some random blog, who cares if they put Italy in the middle of the sea? Half the map memes going around are just someone messing with Photoshop for five minutes. I saw one last month that had the entire UK sitting off the coast of Norway and people were debating it like it was a real CIA document. It's not that deep. Just laugh at the bad geography and move on.

Ever tried just scrolling past one? I've got three kids and a wife who works nights, so I see the dumbest stuff online at 2am while I'm up with a teething baby. Last week I saw a map where they put Canada on the other side of the Atlantic and someone was dead serious about it in the comments. I just laughed, showed it to my oldest for a geography lesson about how wrong it was, and moved on. Made a game out of it - whoever spots the biggest mistake gets to pick the movie for family night. Way better than getting worked up over something some random dude made in five minutes while procrastinating at work.
