That map of London where they squished Scotland into the bottom corner
I was looking up train routes and stumbled on this old map from some travel blog. They literally crammed all of Scotland under England like a footnote. Glasgow got stuck somewhere near Brighton. I had to check if it was a joke or just pure laziness. Has anyone else seen a map that treated an entire country like an afterthought?

Found a US map once where Alaska was floating in a box off California. Like they ran out of room and just tossed it in the ocean.

Oh man, that thing about Alaska in a box off California is exactly the kind of nonsense I'm talking about. I remember seeing a map of Europe once where they just tucked Cyprus into a little circle near Greece like it was a spare tire. It was so small and crammed you could barely read the name. Makes me wonder if mapmakers just get to the bottom of the page, shrug, and say "eh, just squish it in somewhere." It's like they forgot entire places exist until the very last second.
