That "world map" in my dentist's waiting room is driving me crazy
I'm a dental hygienist so I see a lot of waiting room decor, but this one has Australia squished into a weird oval and Antarctica is missing entirely. How do you mess up a world map that bad? Has anyone else seen a map so bad it made you question the whole office?

Oh man, my buddy was at a dentist once where Africa was literally just a green blob with no borders or countries. He asked the front desk about it and they just shrugged.

Maps in waiting rooms are rarely accurate since they are made to look nice rather than be useful. That missing Antarctica is probably a design choice, most people forget it exists anyway. Australia does get distorted on a lot of projections, especially the older ones they hang in places like dentist offices. Those wall maps are basically just decoration at this point, not teaching tools.
