Discovered a 2007 article claiming smartphones would never beat flip phones for reliability

I was digging through old tech blogs in my parents' basement last weekend and found a guy swearing BlackBerries were the peak of mobile innovation, and now I'm typing this on a device he'd call a science experiment have any of you stumbled on predictions that aged this badly?

Oh man, back in 2008 I swore my Motorola Razr was the last phone I'd ever need because it survived a drop down two flights of stairs. Now I'm just waiting for my foldable screen to crack if I sneeze too hard.

Ha, tell me about it! But honestly, I'd take a fragile screen over carrying around a brick that couldn't even check my email without a separate data plan.
