Found a 1999 article predicting 3D-printed houses by 2005
Was cleaning out my dad's basement and stumbled on a PC Magazine from '99 that said we'd all be living in 3D-printed homes by 2005. I just spent $200 on lumber for a tiny shed, so clearly that prediction aged like milk. Anyone else find old tech mags that missed the mark by a mile?

Right, my shed just cost me an arm and a leg in lumber and nails, so I guess future me is still waiting on that robot house printer. My dad had a stack of those old mags too, and I remember one saying we'd all have flying cars by 2010. Instead I'm dodging potholes in my 2008 Corolla with a check engine light that's been on for two years straight. At least the 3D printed house prediction is funny because now I'm over here building a tiny shed like it's the pioneer days.

Oh come on, that check engine light is just the car's personality now.
