Picked a 10-key calculator over a touchscreen POS system for my shop in Akron
I went with a $30 Casio HR-100RC calculator for my small used bookstore instead of a $400 tablet setup. Has anyone else found older gear works better for simple inventory tracking?

Ha! Right on. I swear sometimes these new POS systems have more features than my old laptop and less reliability. My buddy runs a bike shop and his fancy tablet system took a dump during a sale, had to go back to pen and paper for the whole afternoon. There's something to be said for a calculator that just works, doesn't need a WiFi signal, and you can drop it on the floor without crying
