My buddy Phil dug up a TechRadar piece from 2009 that swore physical media would bounce back because 'people like owning things,' and we both nearly choked on our tacos at this spot in Austin. Meanwhile his 14-year-old niece asked what a CD player even was, which felt like the punchline to a 15-year joke. Anyone else keep a folder of these ancient predictions just to pull out at parties?

...and the real trick is to keep those articles in a folder labeled 'future proofing tips' so when someone asks about vinyl resale value you can just point and laugh. Best move is to burn them to a CD for the full irony, if you still have a burner that works.
