Appreciation post: a $4 tube of dielectric grease saved my truck's blower motor
My blower motor in my 2008 F-150 started only working on high speed, so I figured the resistor was shot and bought a new one for $22. Before I swapped it I read a forum post about cleaning the connector pins and packing them with dielectric grease, so I gave it a shot with a $4 tube from AutoZone in Wichita. Two weeks later it still runs on every speed, and the old resistor measured fine on my meter, so the whole problem was just a crusty connector. Has anyone else had a cheap fix like that make you second guess buying parts first?
