A customer's comment about my sourdough changed my whole scoring method

Last Saturday a lady at the farmers market in Austin told me my loaves looked 'too perfect, like machine made'. She walked off without buying one. I was annoyed at first but then thought about it, so I tried scoring with a razor at a steeper angle instead of straight down. The ears are way more jagged and organic now. Anyone else get feedback like this that made you question your technique?
