Heard a customer at the shop say they only bake with a scale now
They were talking about how their grandma used to use cups for everything, but they switched to grams after a sourdough disaster. It made me think about my own shift from volume to weight, maybe around 2015. Anyone else have a specific recipe that just wouldn't work until you weighed the flour?

My 2013 brownie recipe was a total crapshoot until I bought a cheap scale. It feels like part of a bigger move away from old school measures, like how my mechanic talks about torque in newton-meters now instead of foot-pounds. We're just trusting numbers over scoops or feels for more stuff, even at home. That shift to grams in baking was my own little kitchen precision revolution.

Makes you wonder what other daily tasks we do on gut feel that would actually work better with a simple number. Like, should I be weighing my coffee grounds instead of using a scoop?
