My butter was too cold for cookies so I grated it like cheese and it actually worked
I was making chocolate chip cookies on a Tuesday night and my butter was rock hard straight from the fridge. I didn't have time to wait so I grabbed the box grater and shredded the whole stick into little curls right into the flour. The dough came together in like 40 seconds instead of fighting me for 10 minutes. Baked at 375 for 11 minutes and they came out chewier than my normal batch, which surprised me. Has anybody else tried this or am I just late to something everyone already knows?
