My sourdough starter tried to escape its jar on Tuesday

Left my 2-year-old starter, 'Bubbles', on the counter to feed it before my shift. Came back to find the lid popped off and a whole 3-inch blob of it oozing down the cabinet in my Denver kitchen. Took me 45 minutes to clean the sticky mess off the tile. Anyone else have a starter with a mind of its own?

Is it really that big of a deal though? It's just flour and water, not a pet. My starter burps sometimes but I just wipe it up and move on.

Wait, a three inch blob? That's not a burp, that's a full on jailbreak. My starter has never done more than push the lid up a little. Cleaning that off tile sounds like a nightmare, honestly.
