My sourdough starter tried to escape the jar last night

I left it on the counter after a big feed and woke up to a bubbly mess all over the kitchen. I learned my lesson about using a container that's at least three times the starter's volume. What's the biggest starter explosion you've ever had?

Ugh burns.phoenix, that is the WORST feeling. The sheer panic of realizing something escaped is just awful. You spend all that time getting it contained and then it just... wins. Really hope you can find it again without too much trouble.

My luna moth escape from 2021 still haunts me. I had it in a mesh enclosure with a zipper and somehow that little jerk figured out how to wiggle through the smallest gap near the seam. Spent like 3 hours searching the whole apartment, found it clinging to a curtain two days later looking totally smug.
