My sourdough starter went from bubbly to brick in a single night

I was trying a new recipe from a book and the room got too cold. It took me four days of feeding and waiting to bring it back to life. I had to keep it in the oven with just the light on for constant warmth. Has anyone else had a starter crash that hard and how did you fix it?

Honestly, sounds a bit dramatic. It's just flour and water, it's not that fragile. In my experience, a single feeding usually perks it right back up.

Did it look at the weather forecast and just give up? My starter once went on strike, took a week of begging to get it working again.
