Spent $80 on a fancy silicone brioche pan and it melted in the oven at 350
I bought this supposedly high-temp silicone pan from a well-known baking supply website last month. First time using it for brioche dough at 350 degrees and the bottom just sagged and warped into a sticky mess. Anyone else had luck with silicone pans or should I just stick with metal?

HOLY COW, $80 for a silicone pan that MELTED at 350? That is absolutely insane. I would be FURIOUS. I've used cheap silicone muffin cups before and they got all floppy and weird, but I never had one literally melt into a sticky mess. That sounds like a total manufacturing defect or false advertising on the temp rating. I'd be asking for a refund ASAP, that's just not right.

Did the manufacturer actually admit it was a defect when you reached out, or did they try to blame it on user error (which would be total BS)?
