That organic yeast I ordered is totally dead
Bought a 1lb block of fresh organic yeast from a specialty supplier online. Followed their instructions exactly but it never bubbled after 45 minutes. Check the expiration before you buy, this stuff was already past its date.

Man that sucks, I've been there with fresh yeast before. "Followed their instructions exactly but it never bubbled" is the worst because you think you did everything right. First thing I'd do is check the water temp, I killed a batch once because my tap water was too hot and it cooked the yeast. Another tip is to add a pinch of sugar to your water and yeast mix before adding flour, that gives it something to feed on and shows activity faster. If it still doesn't foam up after 10-15 minutes, the yeast is definitely dead and you should ask for a refund. How old was the block when you got it?
